  • Shut Off and Cool Down: Ensure the gas grill is shut off and has cooled down completely before covering it. Store cylinders outdoors in an upright position with relief valves in direct contact with the vapor space.

  • Follow Manufacturer Instructions: Always adhere to the manufacturer’s guidelines and store instructions in an easily accessible place.
  • Proper Cylinder Handling:
    • When transporting propane cylinders, take them home immediately, keep your vehicle ventilated, and ensure the cylinder valve is closed and capped.
    • Cover disconnected hose end fittings and burner air intakes with small plastic bags or protective fitting caps to prevent dirt, insects, or moisture from entering.
  • No Smoking: Do not smoke while handling the propane cylinder.
  • Child Safety: Keep children away from the propane cylinder and the grill to prevent accidents.
  • Proper Storage: Do not store propane cylinders in high-temperature areas, including under the grill. Ensure spares are stored safely.
